It Captured the True Essence
I went to visit my dear friend last week. I had missed her birthday because I had been out of town on business so I wanted to bring her a belated gift. As soon as I walked in the living room I saw a beautiful painting of her little girl on the wall by a small sitting area. She told me that her husband had commissioned a portrait artist to paint it from her favorite photograph of her daughter. It was simply lovely and it really captured the true essence of that sweet child. I told her I could not imagine ever receiving a better gift.
