Estimates made by the Asian Development Bank show that GDP expanded 9.4% in FY 20,061 (which ends in March 2007), with the rate highest achieved in the past 18 years. A level of sectors, the growth pattern has shown some changes. During the fiscal year, the manufacturing expanded 12.3%, showing its important source of development, exceeding the 11% increase in services, so far mainstay of the economy. The Macroeconomic Outlook maintained its momentum in the first quarter Fiscal 2007 (April-June) with an increase in GDP of 9.3%, only slightly less than the expansion of 9.6% achieved in the same period previous year.
