Should You Give Your Son or Daughter a Purity Ring?
Deciding to give out promise rings or Purity Rings to a son or daughter is often difficult, simply because most of the time, they would often want to go against what you are saying especially if you say it outright. If you feel, however, that your kid knows the significance and the importance of making a chastity commitment, then by all means give them one.
You might need to talk to them about it or just ask them if they want to make the commitment or not. Teens prefer it if you would treat them as adults, so talking to them about it is a key step. When they give you a go signal, then you can start choosing the ring for them. If they say no, or are just undecided, don’t pressure them or get upset. It is their decision after all; you can only guide them into making the right one.
