Beyond Mars there is an asteroid belt that is a steady orbit because of Jupiter’s gravity. But every so often the asteroids can hit each other and fall out of orbit and travel wildly through out our solar system and there are some predictions about Asteroid 2012 to hit Earth by that year in December 21st. The Mayans predicted the end of the world by 2012, but did not say that it would be an asteroid impact. The Bible code did predict that an asteroid would hit that year found by computer algorithms. Some of the Bible codes have come true but there is no evidence that it is perfectly accurate. It all depends on how big and what the asteroid is made out of on the damage that it would do to Earth. Hopefully not as big as the Dinosaurs.
